How do tape extensions work

Tape-ins are applied using the sandwich method: you place a thin section of your own hair between two pre-taped wefts. No heat or complicated tools are needed, and the bond stays flat and comfortable. Removal is quick with a special Tape Extensions Remover, after which you simply re-tape the wefts and reapply them. A Tape Extensions Tool comes in handy for attaching the tapes and pressing them down neatly.

Practical tips for application:

• Wash your hair beforehand with a deep-cleansing shampoo and don't use conditioner at the roots.
• Make sure your hair is completely dry and oil-free for maximum hold.
• Work in neat sections and keep 1 to 2 cm away from your scalp and hairline.
• Avoid heat and moisture on the tapes for 48 hours after application.

How many sets do you need

The ideal amount depends on your hair texture and goal. 1 set contains 10 tapes, which together form 5 sandwiches. Use the overview below as a guide:

• Extra volume only: fine hair 1 - 2 sets, normal hair 2 sets, thick or a lot of hair 2 - 3 sets.
• Length + volume: fine hair 2 - 3 sets, normal hair 3 - 4 sets, thick or a lot of hair 4 - 5 sets.
• Maximum, full length: fine hair 3 - 4 sets, normal hair 4 - 5 sets, thick or a lot of hair 5+ sets.

Wear time and care

The average wear time per application is 6 to 10 weeks, depending on your hair growth, lifestyle and care. Because our wefts are reusable, you can easily move them up with new Tape tabs (24 pieces). With proper care, the hair itself usually lasts 8 to 12 months.

How to keep your tape extensions looking beautiful for longer:

• Wash with a gentle, sulfate- and silicone-free shampoo and avoid oil or conditioner on the roots and tape.
• Use a heat protection spray when blow-drying or styling, and limit extreme heat.
• Brush 2 to 3 times a day with an extension-friendly brush, from ends to roots.
• Sleep with dry hair in a loose braid or ponytail to reduce friction.
